Pink Florals in Abundance
Luckily for me Abi was recommended to me by another lovely florist who I have worked with on previous SRFD weddings, she was away for their date, knew my style and I am local to the chosen venues.
After an initial chat, it was clear that Abi knew what she wanted and it was different to anything else I had put together before. Abi shared her mood board with me and it got my creative juices going, I couldn’t wait to put the proposal together with flower choices. Abi trusted me to bring her vision to life, I think we achieved it. The brief was pink, with graduating floral pathway for the aisle and blousy table runners.
Abi wore a beautiful bespoke gown with the most gorgeous sleeves by Emma Beaumont, it was truly stunning, it matched Abi and her personality perfectly.
Abi carried an over sized bouquet of seasonal local Cafe au Lait Dahlias and Luxurious Phalaenopsis Orchids (a nod to Abi and Tom’s time in Hong Kong) and feathery pink foliage, smaller versions for Abi’s bridesmaids.
I am not sure that St Mary’s Church, Goudhurst has seen a flower aisle quite like this one, I loved seeing it all come together in situ.
We lined the path with large displays of Pampas, Smoke Bush Foliage, a Mix of Classic Scented Pink Garden Roses, Reflexed Quicksand Roses, Mixed Pink Dahlias, Astilbe, Anthuriums, Delphiniums and Painted Asparagus Foliage. I love the mix of classic, traditional and contemporary for an expected twist.
To maximise the use of the designs we relocated the church florals to the wedding breakfast, in a beautiful sailcloth tent at Sprivers Mansion. The aisle flowers were placed at the end of the trestle rows. The banquet style tables were adorned with floral runners, with compact roses and hydrangeas and wavering cosmos and dahlias. We also sourced various disco balls for Abi and Tom, I love them with these fresh hops.
Here’s what Abi said….
“Clare saw beyond my vision to create a truly bespoke dream!
Thank you for working with me to create my floral dreams, not only did you get the brief – you elevated it! I still have people ask me about the flowers at the wedding and it was so wonderful to work with you to make the most of the blooms throughout the day, moving from the church to reception and even displaying in portable trays for guests to take home!!
It was a pleasure to work with you, you made the stressful planning really enjoyable.”
